Juan Carlos Hernandez, DDS, is a certified Doctor of Dental Surgery born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. In 1996, he received his dentistry degree from La Javeriana University in Bogota. After practicing dentistry for several years in Colombia, Dr. Hernandez moved to New York City.
He attended New York University, where he trained in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in the International Program, then continued with the Advanced Dentistry Program, earning his D.D.S. in 2007. For the next three years following his graduation, he moved to Fort Stewart to practice in the US Army active-duty service.
In 2010, he moved to Atlanta, where he practiced Advance Dentistry at Balance Advanced Dentistry and Orthodontics and earned his Orthodontics degree from Georgia School of Orthodontics. At the same time, he joined the Georgia National Guard, where he has been a Dental Officer since 2010 to now.
Dr. Hernandez is a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and welcomes new patients of all ages.
